The main residence at Trullo Acanto sleeps 8 guests across four gorgeous bedrooms, each one with Smart TV, walk-in wardrobe and en suite shower rooms (the master double also features a decadent bathtub in the bedroom). There’s an inviting living and dining space inside alongside a well-equipped kitchen yet it’s the outdoor spaces where you can truly unwind and relax. A fifth en suite bedroom is situated in a poolside annexe.    

Outside the main part of the home there is space to dine al-fresco and relax on the terrace. Follow the pretty path across the garden to the heated salt-water swimming pool for long, lazy days swimming, lounging in the sun and listening to music. The rounded gazebo is perfect for outdoor dining by the barbecue.

Beyond your private garden, the estate (also home to the larger Trullo Barbagianni) boasts the use of a children’s play area, outdoor gym and organic kitchen garden.

Other highlights of the region include Alberobello, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica and Ostuni (known as La Città Bianca), all superb visits in their own individual way, whilst the sandy beach, lidos, lighthouse and thermal baths of Torre Canne are just twenty minutes away for a day by the Adriatic.

The estate is located off a country road surrounded by glorious landscapes of vines, olive groves, old farmhouses and traditional trulli – this is the beautiful Valle d’Itria in Puglia.

Be enchanted by Cisternino’s old town, just over 3km away, with its authenticity and historic charm. Set on a limestone hill with stunning views of the surrounding countryside, Cisternino is considered to be one of Italy’s most beautiful towns. Explore the warren of ancient lanes with white-washed houses and little squares. As evening nears, dine at one of the town’s much-loved fornelli, a butchers shop where meat is grilled in front of you, followed by a drink on an atmosphere café terrace.

In the heart of the Valle d’Itria, food-lovers will appreciate Ceglie Messapica (19km) with its gastronomic reputation. Admire the baroque architecture of Martina Franca (13km), soak up the white-washed charm of Locorotondo (8km) and visit Ostuni (20km), known as La Città Bianca. Not forgetting the iconic Italian town of Alberobello (16km), now a UNESCO World Heritage site with its many historic trulli.

Spend time by the coast whether playing golf at San Domenico Golf Club (21km) or relaxing on the sandy beach at Torre Canne (13km), also loved for its lighthouse and thermal baths. Across this part of the coast, look out for upmarket summer lidos alongside delightful fish restaurants serving fine seafood from the Adriatic.
